FAQ: Can I use more than 20µL of sample for assaying GLuc activity?
We recommend a sample size of 5µL-20µL (supernatant or cell lysate) for every 50µL assay solution. A higher volume of sample can lower the light emission readouts for the following reasons: (1) It dilutes the substrate or (2) the reaction runs out of substrate because too much luciferase is present.
